RENTER/GUEST ACCESS UPDATE

The Club will be allowing restricted access to Renters and Guests of Members starting this Friday, June 26th.

We are pleased to be able to offer Daily/Weekly access to Lake Pinneo and the Racquet Sports facility, and 3-day tee time access to the Golf Course! Passes to Lake Pinneo and Racquet Sports can be purchased at Membership Services. Renters wishing to play Golf must first visit the Membership Services Desk in the Main Clubhouse to verify Renter status and sign a Covid-19 certification form.

Due to the Covid-19 capacity restrictions set forth by the State of Vermont, the Indoor/Outdoor Aquatics facilities and the Fitness Center will continue to be available to Members and Family Guests only at this time.

Renter/Guest Access to Club Amenities:
As we approach the summer season in Quechee, we are excited that Golf, Aquatics, Tennis and Dining facilities are available now, with sports and children’s recreation camps beginning soon! This has certainly been a challenging time for Members and staff, and it is nice to see everyone outside enjoying the fresh air.

This is the time of year when we usually welcome back a large part of our Renter population as well, after months of not being able to visit Vermont, the restrictions regarding lodging are set to expire on June 15th and we have received many inquiries from Members who rent their homes, Rental Agents and visitors themselves asking if Renters/Guests will be able to access the Club and the amenities. Information from the state regarding cross-state travel may be viewed online.

Unfortunately, the capacity restrictions outlined in the State of Vermont’s Phased Restart have limited operations to 25% of approved fire safety occupancy. There is a total limit of 50 customers that can be served/seated in outside dining, a limit of 15 in the fitness facility during scheduled blocks of time and a limit of 60 people on the pool deck at any one time. All of these areas are mandated to follow the social distancing guidelines of 6 feet as well as sanitize and disinfect chairs, tables and equipment between reserved time slots.

Given these restrictions, we have decided to limit club use to our first priority – our Members and their Family Guests. We hope that in time Vermont’s phased reopening plans will allow us to open our facility to renters and visitors once again. We understand the disappointment and difficulties this decision brings to our community and are monitoring the State of Vermont’s updates carefully. All information regarding the Covid-19 situation, Clubhouse reopening information and recent President’s Letters can be found on our website at https://quecheeclub.com/web/pages/covid-19-information

Thank you for your understanding.

June 8 update.

TRAVEL & LODGING

Effective June 8, Governor Phil Scott has authorized interstate travel to and from New England and New York counties with 400 or fewer active COVID-19 cases per million without quarantine requirements. A map of the approved counties will be updated weekly and posted on ACCD’s website. Vermonters planning to travel to other states should understand that each state may have its own quarantine policy and they should be familiar with, and respect, the quarantine policies of those states. Visitors will be required to register with Sara Alert for daily reminders from the Vermont Department of Health and must attest to meeting the travel requirements.

Lodging operations and short-term rentals, campgrounds and marinas may accept overnight reservations from Vermont residents, travelers who travel from a county with a similar active COVID-19 caseload as Vermont as identified by the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, and travelers from a high-risk area not identified as having a similar active COVID-19 caseload if they complete a quarantine in Vermont before arriving at a lodging property.

Effective June 15, 2020
Travelers may complete either: (i) complete a 14-day quarantine; or (ii) complete a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test – in their home state and enter Vermont without further quarantine restrictions if they drive directly from their home via their personal vehicle. Additionally, travelers may complete either: (i) a 14 day quarantine; or (ii) a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test – in a Vermont lodging establishment regardless of destination origin or manner of travel (travelers must stay in their quarantine location for the duration of quarantine other than to travel to and from a test site).

HELPING OUR COMMUNITY

Now available to the Membership is the Quechee Community Forum and Message Board. We hope this online system will help everyone stay connected and informed during these uncertain times, and to connect with fellow Members during better times to come!

The “Good Neighbor, Quechee” program was created by Carol Stall to promote emotional support via phone for QLLA members who may be elderly and/or infirm. While social distancing is important right now to ensure the health and safety of our community, Carol and her fellow program members feel it is especially vital during this difficult time to reach out and provide comfort to those in need.  Contact information may be found within the Good Neighbor thread on the Community Message Board.
