Our area of Vermont offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. Vermont boasts especially fantastic  terrain for skiers, snowboarders, and hikers alike!  With its reliable winter snowfall and well-groomed slopes, Vermont offers great alpine experiences for all levels. In addition to the ski slopes, there are plenty of fun family activities available, such as tubing, ice skating and local businesses. From the thrill of racing down a mountain to the cozy atmosphere of a family-owned lodge, the Quechee area has something special to offer any family looking to enjoy some outdoor fun!

Quechee Trails

Quechee hosts a number of beautiful trail networks for all to enjoy! Quechee State forest contains the iconic Quechee Gorge-- an attraction that draws in tens of thousands of visitors per year. An amazing trail network in the area allows you to view the Gorge from below, as well as visit VINS nature center, and Dewey's Pond.

Ski Quechee

Experience one of Vermont's best kept secrets! This family and beginner friendly resort may be small in comparison to other well-known mountains, but the amenities are grand in scale! From horse-drawn sleigh rides to live music at Après Ski, there's something for all people and families to enjoy. Open Friday through Sunday, late-December through mid-March.

Killington Mountain

Killington is the second highest peak in Vermont, and is the largest ski resort in the eastern U.S. Known as the “Beast of the East,” Killington is home to the largest vertical ski drop in New England at 3,050 feet! Saskadena Six

Formerly named “Suicide Six,” Saskadena Six is the nation’s oldest ski resort! It’s roots started in 1934, when a Ford Model-T engine powered the first improvised ski rope-tow. Today, Saskadena Six is a family-oriented mountain that’s small size and easy to navigate trail-system, makes it a top destination for young families and beginners alike. That being said, the mountain isn’t just for beginners, Saskadena Six hosts the longest running ski race in North America—the Fisk Trophy Race.

Pico Mountain

Owned and operated by Killington, Pico is a smaller and more accessible mountain All trails converge into one area, making it easy to stay connected with friends and family throughout the day. When it’s time to recharge, you’ll find a variety of culinary options, including homemade waffles, sandwiches, kid-friendly meals and more. The base area features a cozy lodge and stone fireplaces, making the mountain a special getaway!
